will be based upon the actual time the room is occupied, and any balance due the patient will be returned to him; provided, that every consecutive twelve hours or fraction thereof shall be counted as a half-day’s occupancy, and that in no event shall the charge be for less than one day.
Cl. 9. Visitors to patients in private rooms may be admitted by consent of the physician or surgeon in charge and permission obtained from the office of the Superintendent.
ARTICLE XXIV.—Ward Patients.
Clause 1. Patients who pay $7.00 per week during their stay may occupy beds in the wards.
Cl. 2. Patients are forbidden to use profane or indecent language, to play cards, to use tobacco in any form, or to procure or use intoxicating liquors.
Cl. 3. No articles sent or brought by the friends of the patient shall be received by him without the permission of the Interne.
Cl. 4. Patients must have a full bath once a week, unless otherwise ordered by the physician, but never sooner than two hours after a full meal.
Cl. 5. No patient shall leave his ward until after the morning round of the physician, nor at any other time without the permission of the Interne or of the nurse in charge of the ward.
Cl. 6. Ward patients may receive visits from friends between the hours of 2 and 3 in the afternoon of Tuesday and Friday of each week with the consent of the attending physician or surgeon and obtaining permission from the superintendent. Not more than two persons shall be admitted at one time to visit a patient in a ward. General visitors to the institution will be admitted between the hours of 2 and 3 p. m. of Tuesday and Friday of each week, upon application to the Superintendent.
Cl. 7. Non-residents may be allowed to visit patients at other than the regular visiting hours, but only with the permission of the Superintendent.
