duty to discharge any employes [sic] guilty of profanity, drunkenness or gross misconduct, or of bringing any unauthorized articles into the Hospital; he shall report without delay his action in all such matters to the Executive Committee. He may suspend any nurse or the pharmacist for gross provocation, but immediate notice of the same shall be given to the Training School Committee.
Cl. 4. He shall have power to grant leave of absence to any nurse, but only after the nurse shall have obtained consent from the Directress of Nurses.
Cl. 5. He shall cause every applicant to be examined, to ascertain the nature of his disease, and if the case is passed upon favorably, he shall see that the patient is placed in the proper ward, subject to the existing regulations.
Cl. 6. On the death of a patient he shall immediately notify the nearest relative or friend, as far as known, and cause to be entered in the register of Admissions and Discharges the date and cause of death, and such further information regarding the disposition of the body as the Board of Governors may require.
Cl. 7. When a patient dies, leaving clothes, money or other valuables, he shall record such in proper books, for such disposition as the Executive Committee may direct.
Cl. 8. In a book provided for that purpose, he shall keep an account of all moneys received for the Hospital, and shall pay the same to the Treasurer.
Cl. 9. He shall transmit all moneys received from pay patients or donors to the Treasurer, and make a report thereof to the Executive Committee.
Cl. 10. He shall receive all articles purchased for the Hospital, ascertain the correct weight, measure or quantity, have the same recorded in a book kept for that purpose, and properly account for their distribution.
Cl. 11. He shall receive for safe keeping, moneys or other articles belonging to patients admitted to the Hospital, give a receipt therefor, keep a register of the same in a book for that purpose, and make a report thereof to the Executive Committee when required.
