Martha Rogers Appointed Department Chair at New York University
Former City Nurse Gets New York College Post
Dr. Martha E. Rogers, formerly of the Hartford Visiting Nurses Assn., has been appointed chairman of the department of nurse education in New York University’s School of Education, Dean Ernest O. Melby announced Saturday.
She comes to the school from John [sic] Hopkins University, where she received her doctorate in science in 1952 and had been research fellow. She was graduated from Knoxville General Hospital in 1936 and received a BS degree from George Peabody College. She held an administration post in The Hartford VNA before becoming executive director with the VNA in Phoenix, Ariz.
