Mrs. Toni Fritts, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was living at The Hearth Memory Care Facility in Franklin, TN. She was also under the care of The Guardian Hospice Services.

Her family was with her at her passing. She and her husband James (Jim) Fritts would have been married 60 years in March. They loved to travel and have visited all 50 states, 9 foreign countries and all provinces of Canada.

Mrs. Fritts graduated from the Nursing Program at Knoxville General Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee, earning her R.N. degree and she spent her nursing career, which lasted 45 years, with Knoxville Pediatric Group. Mrs. Fritts was a member of the Alcoa United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed life to its fullest and will be lovely [sic] missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Fred McCarter and Billy Joe McCarter. She is survived by her husband, Jim Fritts, daughters, Lea Ann Barrett (Buddy) and Jamie Wright (Jason), grandchildren, Jonathan Kelly, Andy Kelly (Meg), Elizabeth Barrett, Nathan Barrett, Benjamin Wright, Barrett Wright. Siblings Edna Maupin, Ruth Norman, Faye Sundahl (Jerry), Frank McCarter (Wanda), Glen McCarter (Sherry). And a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Gathering of friends and family will be held at the chapel at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Hospice, 741 Cool Springs Blvd., Ste 102, Franklin, TN 37067.
