Shirley Fields Lawson

LAWSON, MRS. SHIRLEY FIELDS – age 83, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. She received her R.N. degree after completing her nursing training at Knoxville General Hospital in 1952. Mrs. Lawson was the Director of Nursing at Knoxville Convalescent Home (NHC) for 28 years. She is preceded in death by husband, Arnold Martin “Bud” Lawson; five sisters and one brother. She is survived by her loving children, Jeff Lawson, and wife Lisa, and Lezlie Lawson, and husband Rob Barnwell; grandchildren, Whitney (Broderick) Lawson and Jacob (Amira) Lawson, Adalake and Lily Barnwell; great-grandchildren, Braylen, Brialee, Bryson, Godrick and Archer; brother-in-law, Richard Lawson; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, with memorial service to immediately follow in the Highland Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
