Mayor Welcker informed the council of the suit which was recently filed in circuit court by A. C. Hatcher vs. North Knoxville, and the Tennessee Medical college, seeking $2,500 damage. The matter was freely discussed and it was the opinion of the council that the case was one of decidedly no merit. The major was requested to give it his attention, however.

Thousand Washed Away. Heavy Damage Suit Against Medical College and North Knoxville
F. R. Bryan filed a suit in circuit court yesterday against the Tennessee Medical college and the city of North Knoxville. The complainant seeks to recover $5,000 for damages to his property which, he alleges, accrued by the water from the college property and the streets of the corporation running on his lot. The suit is similar to that recently filed by Hatcher against the same defendants.
