Jane Keller Honored with Building Dedication
Caption from clipping:
Careful, Doctor! — Dr. Nat T. Winston Jr., state commissioner of mental health, takes great pains (from his expression) penning an orchid on Miss Jane Keller at the dedication of a new building named in her honor at Eastern State Psychiatric Hospital, and Dr. Cecil F. Mynatt, hospital superintendent, watches just as nervously. Miss Keller, calmest of the trio, was nursing director at ESPH for 16 years before her recent retirement. Prior to that she had been nursing superintendent at old Knoxville General Hospital for years.
[Transcriber’s note: Dr. Mynatt’s mother, Ethel May, was a Class of 1920 graduate of KGH.
