Fingers Crossed Eric Schmidt’s Philanthropy Will Extend to Our Museum
Eric Schmidt’s grandmother, Hartley Butt, was a 1914 graduate of Knoxville General Hospital School of Nursing. She went on to serve as a nurse in Europe during World War II and was quite proud of her vocation.
We corresponded with Eric Schmidt’s mother in the past. We’ve also made requests directly to Eric Schmidt’s staff for infrastructure donations and funding/guidance on technological and educational opportunities that would bring the Museum at Mountain Home, which houses our exhibit, to the world as a center of learning on-line.
Thus far, we’ve had no response. Now that he’s stepping down and focusing more on science, technology, and philanthropy, perhaps he will endow us. (Click here to read more.)
