Dr. Cawood Resigns but He Was Made Emeritus Professor of Surgery
Dr. J. C. Cawood, dean of the Tennessee Medical College, has resigned the chair of professor of surgery, and the board of directors, in consideration of the earnest and unremitting manner in which the doctor had devoted his time, talents and energies to the cause of the college, gladly took occasion of the opportunity to elect him emeritus professor. Dr. Charles M. Drake was elected to the chair vacated by the venerable dean.
