Dorothy Lee Lane, of Titusville, Florida, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Dorothy was born in Blountville, Tennessee on May 1, 1932, to parents Robert Frank and Flossie Lee Millsap Lane.  She was a graduate of General Hospital School of Nursing in Knoxville, Tennessee, and had a long and rewarding career as a Surgical Nurse at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville.  She enjoyed membership and the fellowship of her friends at Bearden Baptist Church before retiring to Titusville to be closer to family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; aunts and uncles; and brother-in-law, Charles Ivo Yount.

She is survived by her two sisters, Thelma Lane Yount of Granite Falls, North Carolina, and Sue Lane Vaughn of Titusville, Florida; her brother-in-law, Thomas Vaughn; two nieces, Norma (Thomas) Bigelow and Patricia (Joel) Vaughn; three nephews, Jeff (Karen) Vaughn, John (Leslie) Vaughn and Chuck (Patricia) Yount; and fourteen grand-nieces and nephews.

No memorial service is planned locally.  A celebration of life service is planned for a later date in the East Tennessee hills that she loved.
