Meet Janet, a terrifically talented surgery RN for Tennova Hospital System in East Tennessee.

In October, 2024, Billie McNamara had the opportunity to meet and chat with Janet about her training. 

Janet first earned her LPN certification after studying under KGH’s Bonzella Burgess (Class of 1954).  Janet has fond memories of Bonzella as a person, a nursing practitioner, and a teacher.

A few years later, Janet received her R.N. degree from Walters State Community College, where two nursing faculty members have KGH connections:  Marty Rucker’s mother was a KGH graduate; and Cheryl McCall’s mother-in-law was a KGH graduate!

The legacy continues, and it turns out mighty fine nurses!
