LAWLEY, DORIS KEGLEY CASTEEL – age 78 of Powell passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 4, 2013. She was born in Marion, VA. Member of First Baptist Church of Powell. Doris graduated from Old Knoxville General School of Nursing, was a pediatric instructor at St. Mary’s School of Nursing and retired as a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy H. Casteel; Father and Mother, J.P. and Ruth Winters Kegley; sister, Mildred Kegley Parker. Survived by husband, James Lawley; daughter, Kimberly and husband Mark Ludwig; grandson, Chip Ludwig; granddaughter, Kendra and husband Greg Peterson of Murfreesboro; Brothers, Willis Kegley and wife Mary of Mobile, AL. Roger and wife Betty Kegley of Mechanicsville, VA. Sister, Vivian Beeler and several loved nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the chapel at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 7:00 pm.
